Where the mad scientists are hard at work!

Led by our Co Founder Zahid, the development team has been experimenting, testing and building the next generation of Saphyroo. Every new feature, performance improvement and bug fix is the result of countless hours of creativity, collaboration and dedication. A huge shout out to our Dev Team, Drew, Mark, Charles, Darrel and Jomedes, for the incredible effort they've put into preparing our new, more sophisticated app. We can't wait to share what they've been building and for everyone to experience what's coming next. Getting to Know Steven

This month we're shining the spotlight on Steven Wallace. We caught up with him to learn a little more about his journey, what motivates him and life behind the scenes at Saphyroo. From helping create engaging customer content to supporting new initiatives across the business, Steven has quickly become a valued member of the team.

“I genuinely don't think there's anything else on the market quite like Saphyroo.”

Tell us a little about yourself.

I'm the Head of Customer Success at Saphyroo. My career started in door to door sales before I moved into hospitality and completed a chef apprenticeship. I later earned my heavy rigid licence and joined TLN as a driver, where I became involved in the early development of Saphyroo. Using the platform every day gave me a unique understanding of the product and I've been part of its journey ever since.

What attracted you to Saphyroo?

I was drawn to the challenge and the opportunity to work in a completely different environment. What really stood out was that Saphyroo isn't limited to one industry. You get to work with businesses across transport, construction, healthcare and more, solving different challenges every day. That variety is what makes the role so rewarding.

What's your role and what does a typical day look like?

My role is to make sure our customers get the most out of Saphyroo. That includes testing new features, improving efficiency, monitoring KPIs and helping businesses stay on top of compliance.

Having used other systems, I genuinely don't think there's anything else on the market quite like Saphyroo. It makes day to day operations so much easier, from managing compliance and keeping track of drivers to accessing everything on your phone instead of being tied to a computer. Before Saphyroo, things could easily be missed, but now everything is in one place.

What's one thing you're excited to work on over the next few months?

I'm looking forward to learning more about the transport industry and seeing how everything works behind the scenes. After spending the last 10 years in a different field, it's exciting to take on a new challenge. I enjoy being pushed outside my comfort zone and I'm keen to broaden my experience while continuing to grow with Saphyroo.

Who has helped you settle in the most?

I'd have to say Zahid has been the biggest support. He's been incredibly patient and always willing to share his knowledge, which isn't something you find everywhere. Having previously worked with TLN, it was also great to have familiar faces around. Between both Co Founders, they've made settling into Saphyroo a really positive experience.

    Supporting the road ahead

As the transport industry continues to evolve, so does Saphyroo. Behind every new idea, feature and milestone is a team working hard to support our customers and make Saphyroo the one stop destination for transport knowledge, compliance guidance and industry innovation.

The Cold Doesn't Slow Us Down

Melbourne has certainly turned on the winter weather this year. Between frosty mornings, chilly evenings and plenty of grey skies, staying warm has become just as important as staying productive. Thankfully, a Saphyroo hoodie and a hot coffee have gone a long way in helping the team power through the colder months.
